In S.E.W., during the Invasion of Vekta, in 2360, the Helghast once again tried to take the System out of ISA hands, but ISA won the Second Battle of the Freeman System. In 2378, the Helghast invaded the System once more with even larger fleets. The ISA pushed back the Helghast again and won the Third Battle but with heavy loses. The Empire gave up on the Freeman System and believed they could finally claim it once the war is over.

Scavengers among debris by tryingtofly-d9qcqr5

One of larger destroyed ships that's used as a town in Junk Space.

Junk Space is a large combination of destroyed war ships orbiting the star of the Freeman system where many freelancers live. The system is known for the final large-scale military engagement in the F.E.W.. The Freeman System has a long history of battles from the F.E.W. and S.E.W. with the ISA and Helghast Empire fighting for control. It was once part of ISA space during both wars. Once the ISA lost the 2nd war, the ISA began a civil war for 2 months within the system, killing most of the ISA remanent factions. The survivors decided to live as freelancers and lived in the ship debris.

There are many types of war ships in Junk Space from many time periods, from the early days of the ISA\Helghast and late. Today, many freelancers make home on there and of course, criminals.

The System holds one planet, a gas giant with UNC and ISA moon bases, which is now home to many crime syndicates. The crime syndicates make deals with the Helghast Empire to catch criminals and bring to the empire in exchange of letting the syndicates live freely in the system.

Battle History

The System was claimed by the ISA Admiral, Arnold Freeman in 2189. In the early ISA days, the ISA had many pirate raids and rebel factions fighting all over the system. The ISA kept the Freeman System despite the difficult situations the system had. The ISA believed it was an essential point to look over the Helghast.

After the Helghast lost Vekta in the F.E.W., they tried to make a last stand in the Freeman System by trying take over the ISA System to have a good tactical position to reclaim Vekta. Hundreds of ships from both sides were destroyed during the First Battle of the Freeman System. The battle was a decisive victory for the ISA, ending the war.
